The Quality Assurance Technician will support the Quality Assurance Inspector in the day-to-day activities regarding goods inwards inspection. In addition, you will support the day-to-day calibration activities and the instrumentation team with trial activities.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • To read and understand technical drawings to support quality inspections.
  • To carry out and keep records for goods inwards inspection (Mechanical).
  • To carry out in-process inspection and testing as required to support problem investigation and business improvement projects.
  • Report quality performance statistics relating to goods inwards, as appropriate.
  • Understand and support the calibration activity when required.
  • To carry out and keep records for internal calibration activities.
  • Any other reasonable tasks to support the Quality Assurance Team, as required.

Quality Assurance Technician Specification

  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance (5 years British residency necessary)
  • Level 3 NVQ in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Clean full driving licence
  • Experience of carrying out in-process inspection and testing
  • Knowledge of calibration activities
  • Experience with ISO9001:2008, TS16949 or similar
  • Awareness of Metrology standards
  • Knowledge of component inspection techniques and equipment
  • Proficient in MS Office

This role is typically worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility is required to support the needs of the business.
