Covid-19 - over one year on, what have we learned?

It's been over a year since Covid first hit the headlines around the world.

As a business, our priority throughout this crisis has been the health, safety and wellbeing of our people, their families, our customers, and the communities in which we operate. From the outset, we adopted an agile approach that balanced risk mitigation with business continuity, based on the latest government recommendations in each of our home markets.
All Chemring businesses have remained open throughout the pandemic, and our people's response has been outstanding throughout the pandemic. They have risen to the challenge, adapting their behaviour and working practices to minimise the spread of the virus while continuing to focus on the needs of our customers.

Tony Gower-Jones, Group HSE Effectiveness Manager, "I’m really proud of what we, as a company, have achieved. We’ve shown ourselves to be responsible, adaptable and conscientious. That’s a culture we should all be proud of.”

“Some of the gains from the pandemic have been around the way people work together. There is far more tolerance and appreciation for each other’s individual circumstances and more collaboration and sharing of ideas.”

Our Chemring colleagues have been creative in the pandemic to keep up morale and do their bit for their communities and charity; here’s just some of the staff activities:
