National Apprenticeship Week

This week is National Apprenticeship Week and the theme this year is Skills For Life, shining a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

Across Chemring, we’re celebrating some of our skilled apprentices and how their achievements are making a positive impact on them as individuals, on our organisation, and within industry at large.

At Chemring, we currently have 145 people in our Early Career Programme – 110 graduates and 35 apprentices. Chemring Learning and Development Lead, Chloe Partridge, shares more about the Early Careers Programme and how it supports apprentices.

Explains Chloe, “The two-year programme has been designed to support our graduates and apprentices from across Chemring’s businesses to build the foundational early career and professional skills needed in the workplace today.

“One of the most important and valuable aspects of the Early Careers Programme is being part of a community of colleagues at the same stage in their careers. It enables members of the cohort groups to connect across the different businesses and gain broader exposure to the entire organisation while sharing skills and knowledge with peers.”

Starting a new career is an exciting and challenging journey. The Chemring Early Careers Programme is designed to support graduates and apprentices as they navigate their early career goals and helps them to make the right career decisions as they develop and progress.

Apprenticeships can be invaluable in helping individuals develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career. For employers like us, they help to develop a workforce with future ready skills.
