Every year, on April 7, World Health Day is celebrated around the globe. At Chemring, this World Health Day, we’re finalising plans for our 2024 health and wellbeing challenge. We’re asking our colleagues to get ready to take part in our very own Chemring Games!
Just as World Health Day is about both physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being, the Chemring Games is an inclusive event with opportunities for everyone to get involved.
The Chemring Games will open in June and run throughout the month, with the end of the Games concluding with World Wellbeing Week on 30 June 2024. Over the coming weeks, colleagues across Chemring will get into teams and plan their chosen activities.
Colleagues can complete activities based on three core categories:
• Wellbeing - activities involving physical and mental health
• Environment - activities or events that benefit the environment
• Social & Community - activities that support the local community or charitable organisations, or social events that bring colleagues together
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded based on the number of hours of activity, culminating in Chemring’s CEO, Mick Ord presenting virtual medals with an overall podium of winners.
The Chemring Games is designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle for both the mind and the body, foster a sense of community and collaboration, support our sustainability agenda, and spark competitive spirit across the Group.
