Today, 26 January, is Australia Day, a day to reflect on what it means to be Australian, to celebrate contemporary Australia and to acknowledge Australian history.
So today, we celebrate our team in Australia.
Our colleagues at Chemring Australia are a proud team and work hard to create a thriving environment for all who work there. They have made significant strides in enhancing the environmental quality of our worksite. By focusing on sustainable practices and eco-friendly projects, they are creating a healthier and more engaging environment for all employees.
They have introduced a Flow Hive to the garden, along with a thriving colony of bees. The Flow Hive is an innovative beekeeping system that allows honey to be harvested directly from the hive with minimal disruption to the bees. The bees will play a crucial role in pollinating the gardens, enhancing the growth and vibrancy of the plants, and contributing to a healthier ecosystem.
Also, after the completion of the chicken coop, they were finally able to introduce chickens to the garden. The Chickens will help with natural pest control, enrich the soil and encourage employees to get out into the sunshine and spend some time interacting with them. Additionally, they will provide staff with fresh eggs to take home or cook up on site for breakfast gatherings.
